Jason Douglas Louie was born in Washington D.C. and grew up primarily in New York. He returned to D.C. to attend and graduate from Howard University. While at Howard he co-wrote stage productions for The Howard Players, Howard University’s The Team comedy troupe, and Living Stones Worship Arts and Ministry. He was also a cartoonist for Howard’s student newspaper, The Hilltop. Currently, he is a freelance writer as well as a radio drama writer for Aural Stage Studios. Jason now lives in upstate New York, where he divides his time writing literature for children and young adults, performing spoken word poetry, delivering speeches on literary topics, and simply attempting to brighten the world with art.
